Srnicek suffered the heart attack and collapsed while running in the town of Bohumin in Cech, where he is from.

He was in critical condition in the Ostrava-Poruba Hospital before the decision was made to take him off life support, his agent Steve Wraith confirmed.

Newcastle posted a tribute to Srnicek on Twitter with a picture of the cult hero playing for the club.
